The Grand Finale: blog post 8
For the last two class periods, we have had mini-lessons taught by our classmates. I've honestly really enjoyed seeing how everyone has been able to fit so much information into just a short twenty minutes, but they have all been doing such a wonderful job. The mini-lesson that has really stuck with me though has been Eric and Packy's lesson about content management and managing personnel. I'm not sure exactly why, but all of the sections that they talked about was information that I had never heard before or had never thought of before so it was really interesting! It's really fascinating to me to learn about the reasoning behind how managers decide to hire someone (probably because that is what is happening in my current situation [looking for a job]). Packy and Eric really had a well-rounded discussion about hiring but also the possible reasons someone might get separated from a job. Chapter 14 about user experience was a really interesting chapter to read through....
